Colleagues from Magdalene, a part of M Group Services’ Telecom Division, were delighted to come together recently to celebrate our latest apprentice graduates who received their certificates.
The event, which took place on 30 October 2023 at our Network Operations Centre (NOC) office in St Ives, saw Danielle Green and Megan Sutton, our two Business Administrator Apprentices, graduate from their two-year programmes. They completed their studies with flying colours, while simultaneously carrying out permanent roles within the business that they had been offered when still completing their coursework.
Throughout their apprenticeships, run by Cambridge Regional College, Danielle and Megan were given opportunities to engage with different areas of the business, giving them a wider understanding of the workstreams and departments that make up Magdalene’s fast-paced business. The programme was sourced to ensure the modules covered gave them the opportunity to gain knowledge of the processes and procedures used within the NOC, while learning the theory provided by the programme, which they are using in their new permanent roles.
Danielle and Megan were initially hired through one of our recruitment evening events held at our offices. Recruitment evenings provide a great opportunity to give candidates the chance to meet some of our managers and complete a range of activities including practical tasks, giving us the opportunity to see them at their best.
We currently have six team members completing apprenticeships across Magdelene and we are looking to recruit more in future.
Sam Saunders, Managing Director at Magdalene, is proud of the opportunities we are offering for apprentices, saying: “Given that Danielle and Megan started out this apprenticeship under COVID restrictions and had to rely on remote learning, this is a fantastic achievement. We will build on the success of this programme offering more apprenticeships across different functions to ensure we continue to bring new talent into our business and support people starting out in their career with learning opportunities.”
At M Group Services we are committed to providing opportunities which attract and develop the next generation of highly skilled, forward-thinking, and technically competent people. Congratulations to our recent graduates and good luck in your future careers with Magdalene moving forward.
