Sam has been with Magdalene since 2015 and managed many of the different operational teams as the business has evolved and grown in that time. Appointed to Managing Director in 2022 he is now responsible for all of Magdalene’s business and leads the senior management team. He has worked within the Telecommunications industry for over 25 years from an operational and engineering background with experience working for various operators and OEMs.
Joe joined Magdalene in August 2022 as our Finance Director. In this lead-finance role, Joe is responsible for financial planning, modelling and reporting, financial control and risk management, strategic planning as well as leading our logistics function. Joe is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA CGMA) and has extensive experience in the Manufacturing and Engineering sector having spent over 25 years leading business teams in global organisations across Northern Europe. Prior to joining Magdalene Joe spent 20 years in Global Engineering and Manufacturing businesses, including ABB and Marshalls, in addition to having served as a Non-Executive Director and a Pension board trustee.
Kate joined Magdalene in January 2023 as Head of Human Resources. Supported by the Telecoms Divisional HR Team, Kate is responsible for delivering the People Strategy to Magdalene. Kate is MCIPD qualified with over 20 years of experience within a wider variety of settings. She initially gained experience within the Retail sections before going on to support Exec Leadership teams for the last 10 years within Publishing, BioTech and IT.
Ian joined Magdalene from Traxe Global Services in 2010. After a period as Commercial Director, Ian assumed the role of Contact and Procurement Director in Spring 2023 and is responsible for the company’s contractual arrangements with its customers and suppliers and the commercial bid management of Magdalene’s business.
Prior to joining Magdalene, Ian held senior commercial management positions at various telecommunication services companies including Alan Dick and Traxe.
Pete joined Magdalene in 2020 having worked for the wider group for 20 years. During his time he has worked across all 4 utility sectors (Electric, Gas, Water and now Telecom) gaining extensive experience through progressive roles as Auditor, Advisor, Manager and now Head of SHEQ. Responsible for the overall day-to-day safety, health, environment and quality of all contracts, setting our SHEQ Strategy, maintaining our company accreditations and supporting a SHEQ team that covers the whole of the UK & Ireland.
James has been with Magdalene since 2019 and is responsible for leading Magdalene’s central operations team providing Engineering, Project Management, Network Operations, and Design services. He started his career as a Field engineer. James comes with a strong telecommunications background, working within the industry for the past 20 years in various roles, focusing on leading large operational teams that have covered engineering, project management, service performance and call centres for several telecom operators.
Lorna joined Magdalene in November 2022 bringing with her over 25 years of telecommunications experience from her time at Neos Networks, Openreach, BT and 3. Experienced in leading large teams of project & transformation professionals, in her current role Lorna has full responsibility for the successful contract delivery of Magdalene’s Utility clients. Lorna is a Prince 2 Practitioner, Six Sigma Black Belt and Agile PM qualified.
Experienced Network Director with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry. Skilled in building Fibre Networks, National Field Force Management, Service Delivery, Managed Services, Sales, and Sales Management. Strong information technology professional graduated from Nunthorpe Grammar & York College.
Keith is an Engineering graduate of the University of Leeds and has been in the telecoms industry for over 22 years. He has the responsibility, within Magdalene, for the utilities sector business and the management of the Critical Communications Product Portfolio. He is responsible for the broader engagement of the other group companies to provide our customers with full end-to-end infrastructure solutions. Before joining Magdalene, Keith worked at Nokia Networks and Yorkshire Electricity.
